About Paul Hutchinson

Paul Hutchinson (*1987) is born in Berlin, he works and lives in London and Berlin. Hutchinson studied at University of the Arts Berlin and Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design, London. In his photographic practice he investigates his immediate surroundings, the role of technology and contemporary Hip Hop culture. Amongst others, Hutchinson has been awarded grants and prizes from Deutsche Bank, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and University of the Arts Berlin. He is the recipient of the Eberhard Roters Grant for Young Art 2016, awarded biannually by Stiftung Preussische Seehandlung in cooperation with Berlinische Galerie. He works as an assistant to Wolfgang Tillmans. Hutchinson participated in international solo and group exhibitions.

Paul Hutchinson (* 1987) ist in Berlin geboren, er arbeitet und lebt in London und Berlin. Hutchinson studierte an der Universität der Künste Berlin und Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design, London. In seiner fotografischen Praxis untersucht er seine unmittelbare Umgebung, die Rolle der Technik und der zeitgenössischen Hip Hop Kultur. Unter anderem erhielt Hutchinson Stipendien und Preise von der Deutschen Bank, dem Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienst (DAAD) und der Universität der Künste Berlin. Er erhielt außerdem den Eberhard Roters Grant für junge Kunst 2016, der zweimal jährlich von der Stiftung Preussische Seehandlung in Zusammenarbeit mit der Berlinischen Galerie verliehen wird. Er arbeitet als Assistent von Wolfgang Tillmans. Hutchinson nahm an internationalen Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen teil.
