Strandung – After the group exhibition HAPPINESS IS A STATE OF MIND at the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf in early 2022, we got to know Dietmar Lutz. His works fascinated us immediately - they tell stories on countless meters of canvas. Each picture on the canvases stands on its own and yet there is a sequence that immerses the viewer in another world. And that's exactly what we wanted to realize in an edition. This is how the new unique edition "Strandung" by Dietmar Lutz was created. This wonderful edition was created by printing three of his motifs on a 305 x 54 cm canvas. Subsequently, another fourth hand-painted motif by Lutz was added, which varies with each work. A short story or "diary scroll" of the summer of 2022. Four motifs. One story. The edition of 15, each copy has a different final motif, the work is delivered rolled and can be placed freely. Published by VogelART 2022. Part of the proceeds will go to Münchner Aids-Hilfe e.V.

Strandung – Nach der Gruppenausstellung HAPPINESS IS A STATE OF MIND in der Kunsthalle Düsseldorf Anfang 2022 lernten wir Dietmar Lutz kennen. Published by VogelART 2022.

Dietmar Lutz (1968) is known for his large-format paintings – they are impressions of private spheres and at the same time reflect the question of how we see the world, how it is depicted and what role the artist and the viewer take. His style is reminiscent of the impressionists, but also of painting in the here and now. His motifs are figurative and abstract at the same time. At the same time they seem casual and sketchy. Highlights. But at the same time convey in a great way the captured momentum. He shows "modern life", tells stories in infinite meters of canvas – in the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf it was 25 by 1.67 meters. They give pleasure and make you dream. The works capture memories and they always show new facets of everyday life. Painting happens on the canvas strips lying on the floor - almost every day Dietmar Lutz paints a work, on the roll that seemingly never ends. During the pandemic, he painted a picture every day from August 2020 to August 2021 and published the 365 works in the book "One Year". Lutz lives and works in Düsseldorf.
