In spring 2025, we met Morgane Tschiember through common friends at our Space NEO x VogelART LAB in Nice – an inspiring encounter that quickly led
to an intense artistic exchange. During our visit to her studio in Paris, we were fascinated by the complexity of her working methods: material, gesture, and form merge into a sensual whole. We
were particularly captivated by her sculptures made of glass and concrete – as if a drop of honey had been frozen in time at the moment of impact.
Inspired by her expansive installations Bubbles (2012) and Dust Devil (2015), the series Bubble was created. A
two-part sculpture made of concrete and mouth-blown glass. In June 2025, Morgane Tschiember and we spent a few days in Biot, the traditional glassblowing town in southern France, where a series
of 15 sculptural works was created. Each mouth-blown glass form, in different colors, is combined with a concrete form. Each glass component is unique: shape, color, and refraction vary – no two
works are alike. Fragility meets mass, floating meets stability – a fragile balance that Morgane's work impressively embodies. The smooth, light, flowing glass form contrasts with the rough
concrete. The format of the sculpture varies depending on the glass form; it measures approximately 35 x 40 x 25 cm. Signed and numbered by the artist with a finger print.
Im Frühjahr 2025 lernten wir Morgane Tschiember über gemeinsame Freunde unseres Space NEO x VogelART LAB in Nizza kennen – ein inspirierendes
Zusammentreffen, das schnell zu einem intensiven künstlerischen Austausch führte. Beim Studiobesuch in Paris waren wir fasziniert von der Vielschichtigkeit ihrer Arbeitsweise: Material, Geste und
Form verschmelzen bei ihr zu einem sinnlichen Ganzen. Besonders ihre Skulpturen aus Glas und Beton zogen uns in ihren Bann – als wäre ein Tropfen Honig im Moment des Aufpralls in der Zeit
eingefroren.
Inspiriert durch ihre raumgreifenden Installationen Bubbles (2012) und Dust Devil (2015) entstand die
Serie Bubble. Eine zweiteilige Skulptur aus Beton und mundgeblasenen Glas. Im Juni 2025 waren Morgane Tschiember und wir einige Tage in Biot, der traditionsreichen
Glasbläserstadt in Südfrankreich, wo eine Serie von 15 skulpturalen Arbeiten entstand. Die jeweils mundgeblasene Glasform, in unterschiedlichen Farben, mit einer Betonform verbindet. Jede
Glaskomponente ist ein Unikat: Form, Farbe und Lichtbrechung variieren – keine Arbeit gleicht der anderen. Fragilität trifft auf Masse, Schweben auf Stabilität – eine fragile Balance, die
Morganes Werk eindrucksvoll verkörpert. Die glatte, leichte, fließende Glasform ist der Kontrast zu dem rauen Beton. Das Format ist der Skulptur variiert durch die Glasform, es ist ca. 35 x 40 x
25 cm. Signiert und nummeriert von Morgane Tschiember mit einem Fingerabdruck.
Morgane Tschiember (born 1976) is a French artist who lives and works in Paris. She studied at the
École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and at the same time at EHESS: École des hautes études en sciences sociales, with Jacques Derrida in philosophy and Georges Didi-Huberman in art
history. All of Morgane Tschiember's work is based on the physicality of matter, leading to metaphysical questions. Tschiember's work encompasses a variety of media – from painting, photography,
sculpture, large-scale installations to performances. Characteristic of her work is the interplay of contrasting materials such as concrete, wood, ceramics, rope, metal, expanding foam, sand, and
glass – often in states of transition, flow, or frozen movement. Morgane Tschiember belongs to a generation of artists who are rethinking materiality and space in a conceptual way - always with
an intuitive, almost physical link to the process of making that leads us to reflect on our own relationship with the world.
Her works have been shown internationally in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris (FR), Kunsthalle Mannheim (DE),
Fondation Yves Saint-Laurent (FR), Fondation Pernod Ricard (FR), MAC/VAL (FR), Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dôle (FR), MOCA of Tucson (USA), Vilnius Contemporary Art Center (Lithuania), Elevation
Biennale in Gstaad (Switzerland), Oaxaca MACO Museum (Mexico), Riso Palazzo Museum of Palermo (IT), and at renowned galleries in Europe, Asia, and North America. Her works are included in

Morgane Tschiember (geboren 1976) ist eine französische Künstlerin, die in Paris lebt und arbeitet. Sie studierte an der École nationale
supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris und parallel dazu an der EHESS: Alle Arbeiten von Morgane Tschiember basieren auf der Körperlichkeit der Materie und führen zu metaphysischen Fragen.
Tschiembers Werk umfasst eine Vielzahl von Medien - von Malerei, Fotografie, Skulptur, großformatigen Installationen bis hin zu Performances. Charakteristisch für ihre Arbeit ist das
Zusammenspiel von kontrastierenden Materialien wie Beton, Holz, Keramik, Seil, Metall, expandierendem Schaum, Sand und Glas - oft in Zuständen des Übergangs, des Fließens oder der eingefrorenen
Bewegung. Morgane Tschiember gehört zu einer Generation von Künstlern, die Materialität und Raum auf konzeptionelle Weise neu überdenken - immer mit einer intuitiven, fast physischen
Verbindung zum Prozess der Herstellung, der uns dazu bringt, über unsere eigene Beziehung zur Welt nachzudenken.
Ihre Arbeiten wurden international in zahlreichen Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen gezeigt, unter anderem im Palais de Tokyo in Paris (FR), Kunsthalle
