The Ombres Roses edition by Jorinde Voigt is the result of a close collaboration with VogelART. As a continuation of the Shadow sculptures created in 2022, Jorinde Voigt‘s Ombres Roses (Pink Shadows) - her first wall object of its kind - also explores the theme of shadows in both form and color. The interplay of light and shadow of the three organic, overlapping forms and their shimmering color spectrum lend the work an almost physical presence. Through the reflections and the changing colors of the paint depending on the viewer‘s position, the Ombres Roses react sensitively to the movements in the room and the viewer, with whom they interact in an almost intimate way. This interplay between the inner and outer world and the viewer‘s perception have long been the focus of Voigt‘s artistic work. With a limited edition of 15, the edition is an exclusive art object. Die Edition Ombres Roses von Jorinde Voigt ist das Ergebnis einer engen Zusammenarbeit mit VogelART. Als Fortführung der 2022 entstandenen Shadow-Skulpturen setzt sich Jorinde Voigt auch bei Ombres Roses (deutsch: Pinke Schatten) – ihrem ersten Wandobjekt seiner Art – mit dem Thema des Schattens sowohl von Form und Farbe auseinander. Das Spiel von Licht und Schatten der drei organischen, sich überlagernden Formen und ihr schillerndes Farbspektrum verleihen dem Werk eine beinahe körperliche Präsenz. Durch die Spiegelungen und die changierende Farbigkeit der Lackierung je nach Standpunkt reagieren die Ombres Roses sensibel auf die Bewegungen im Raum und der Betrachter, mit denen sie so auf geradezu intime Weise interagieren. Dieses Zusammenspiel von innerer und äußerer Welt sowie die Wahrnehmung des Betrachters sind langjährige Schwerpunkte in Voigts künstlerischem Schaffen. Mit einer limitierten Auflage von 15 Exemplaren wird die Edition zu einem exklusiven Kunstobjekt. Published by VogelART 2024.



Jorinde Voigt (Germany, 1977) is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Berlin. From 2014 to 2019, she taught at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich, and today she is Professor of Conceptual Drawing and Painting at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. In her work Voigt observes and explores the inner processes of perception in relation to various aspects and subjects such as affects and emotions, imagination, memory, sensory experience, natural and cultural phenomena, scientific data, interpersonal actions, and relationships. Since her early work, Jorinde Voigt has taken an analytical approach, understanding her subjects as dynamic situations whose state of being is in constant change. Within a conceptual approach Jorinde Voigt has been expanding her work beyond the medium of drawing in recent years, including and experimenting with painterly elements, collage, sculpture, design, and music.

Besides several grants and prize nominations such as the the Zurich Art Prize in 2021, Voigt was rewarded the prestigious Daniel & Florence Guerlain Contemporary Drawing Prize in 2012. She has participated in group shows and biennials worldwide, most notably the 54th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Venice (IT), Manifesta 11, Zurich (CH),  Biennale de Lyon, Lyon (FR), Sharjah Biennial, Sharjah (UAE), Vienna Biennial for Change (AUT), and Tinguely Museum, Basel (CH). Solo exhibitions of her work have been presented by Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, Vienna (AUT), BOZAR, Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels (BE), The Menil Collection, Houston (USA), Horst Janssen-Museum, Oldenburg (GER), Kunsthalle Nürnberg, Nuremberg (GER), Hamburger Bahnhof Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin (GER), Kunsthalle Krems, Krems (AUT), Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Rome (IT), the Langen Foundation, Neuss (GER), Gemeentemuseum, Den Haag (NL), as well as Moody Center for the Arts, Rice University, Houston (USA).

Jorinde Voigt (Deutschland, 1977) ist eine multidisziplinäre bildende Künstlerin mit Sitz in Berlin. Von 2014 bis 2019 lehrte sie an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in München und ist heute Professorin für konzeptuelle Zeichnung und Malerei an der Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg. In ihrer Arbeit beobachtet und erforscht Voigt die inneren Prozesse der Wahrnehmung in Bezug auf verschiedene Aspekte und Themen wie Affekte und Emotionen, Imagination, Erinnerung, sinnliche Erfahrung, natürliche und kulturelle Phänomene, wissenschaftliche Daten, zwischenmenschliche Handlungen und Beziehungen. Seit ihren frühen Arbeiten verfolgt Jorinde Voigt einen analytischen Ansatz, der ihre Themen als dynamische Situationen begreift, deren Seinszustand sich ständig verändert. Innerhalb eines konzeptionellen Ansatzes hat Jorinde Voigt in den letzten Jahren ihre Arbeit über das Medium der Zeichnung hinaus erweitert und mit malerischen Elementen, Collage, Skulptur, Design und Musik experimentiert.

Neben mehreren Stipendien und Preisnominierungen wie dem Zürcher Kunstpreis 2021 wurde Voigt 2012 mit dem renommierten Daniel & Florence Guerlain Contemporary Drawing Prize ausgezeichnet. Sie hat weltweit an Gruppenausstellungen und Biennalen teilgenommen, insbesondere an der 54.
