About Paul Morrison

Paul Morrison (* 1966) was born in Liverpool and is an English painter who lives and works in Sheffield. His wall-filling black-and-white landscape panoramas and painting series already attracted international attention in the 1990s. His gardens and landscapes, laid out in bold lines, unfold in expansive wall paintings as well as in paintings, drawings, prints, and films. Morrison deliberately works with the shift of proportions and draws his inspiration from historical etchings, botanical illustrations, comics, animations, and the Internet.

His first solo exhibition was in London in 1996 and since then his works can be found in international museums and private collections such as the Manchester Art Gallery, Las Vegas Art Museum, MoMA in New York, Drawing Center in New York, Tate Britain in London, Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum, Kunsthalle Saarbrücken, Kunsthalle Nürnberg.

New York, Drawing Center in New York, Tate Britain in London, Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum, Kunsthalle Saarbrücken, Kunsthalle Nürnberg.
