About Andy Hope 1930

Andy Hope 1930 has been the name used since 2010 by Andreas Hofer (*1963), a German painter, sculptor and installation artist who lives in Berlin. From 1991 to 1997, Andreas Hofer studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Munich and at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Andy Hope 1930 is represented with works in several important collections, including the Lenbachhaus Collection in Munich, the Abteiberg Museum in Mönchengladbach, the MMK Museum for Modern Art in Frankfurt, the Pompidou Centre in Paris, as well as in internationally important private collections. His extensive solo show in London in 2006, entitled “This Island Earth” was very well received.

Andy Hope 1930, seit 2010 Künstlername von Andreas Hofer (*1963) ist ein deutscher Maler, Bildhauer und Installationskünstler der in Berlin lebt. Von 1991 bis 1997 studierte Andreas Hofer an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste München und am Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Andy Hope 1930 ist mit Werken in wichtigen Sammlungen vertreten, unter anderem in der Sammlung Lenbachhaus München, im Museum Abteiberg Mönchengladbach, im MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt, im Centre Pompidou Paris, sowie in international bedeutenden Privatsammlungen. Im Jahr 2006 war er mit der viel beachteten und umfangreichen Einzelausstellung This Island Earth in London zu sehen.
