About Rosemarie Trockel

Rosemarie Trockel (*1952) was born in Schwerte, lives in Cologne and is one of foremost artists of our time. Since her first solo exhibition in Cologne and Bonn in 1982, her work has been particularly well received in the United States since the end of the 1980s. She has exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. Rosemarie Trockel is on the “World ranking list of living artists” Along with Carsten Höller she was represented at documenta X in Kassel. In 2015 she announced that her exhibition in the Kunsthaus Bregenz would be the last for seven years. She is one of the ten leading and living artists of the world in 2016.

Rosemarie Trockel (*1952) geboren in Schwerte, lebt in Köln und gehört zu einer der herausragestenten Künstlerinen unser Zeit. Seit ihrer ersten Einzelausstellung 1982 in Köln und Bonn fanden ihre Werke Ende der 1980er Jahre vor allem in den USA große Beachtung. Sie stellte im Museum of Modern Art in New York, im Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago und im Institute of Contemporary Art in Bosto aus. Rosemarie Trockel ist auf der „Weltrangliste der lebenden Künstler“. Mit Carsten Höller war sie bei der dokumenta X in Kassel vertreten. 2015 kündigte sie an,das ihre Ausstellung im Kunsthaus Bregenz für sieben Jahre ihre letzte sein würde. Sie gehört zu den zehn führenden lebenden Künstlern im Jahr 2016.
