Katherine Bernhardt (*1975, St. Louis, Missouri) lives and works in New York. Her works include a variety of everyday objects that have been removed from their original context. Typical motifs and their elements are coffee, pizza, hamburgers, flowers, turtles, toucans, exotic fruits or household objects. She often combines them with nostalgic figures such as Garfield, Pink Panther or E.T.. Katherine Bernhardt's colorful works are a testimony of her inner passions and personal obsessions. She constantly adds new symbols to her eccentric universe - an exuberant collection of contemporary icons. The artist is primarily motivated by a fascination with her everyday surroundings, which she expresses through color and composition.

Katherine Bernhardt's work is in numerous international collections.
